About the Role
The Team Lead plays a vital role in linking the leadership team and sales associates, ensuring seamless operational functions and motivating the team to exceed goals. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this individual provides support and coverage to the Store and Assistant Managers in their absence. They model desired selling and customer service behaviors at all times, promoting a positive in-store experience for customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives;
- Assist in the operational functions of the store, including POS management and daily banking procedures;
- Partner with store management to execute action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all store operational activities;
- Contribute ideas and solutions to the leadership team that result in increased productivity and improved operations of the store;
- Coach associates on customer service fundamentals and provide positive feedback;
- Assist in resolving customer service matters;
- Oversee and delegate tasks to the team to best maximize efficiency of store operations;
- Communicate individual and/or team performance feedback to store management;
- Ensure the team receives scheduled breaks and/or meal periods;
- Create an open outward communication on the sales floor;
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines;
- Perform opening and closing procedures, and any inventory duties as directed.
