The Child and Family Program Supervisor will oversee all facets of the Child, Youth, and Family department's programming, collaborating closely with staff and volunteers to ensure effective delivery of services that enhance individual, family, and community well-being. This is a hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support various programs and services Develop a range of initiatives that promote healthy growth for children through nutrition, education, and literacy, while also assisting parents in fostering healthy family dynamics. Assist in the preparation and execution of programs as needed. Ensure quality control and consistency across Child, Youth, and Family initiatives Provide administrative support to the management team and adapt to a dynamic work environment. Engage in community outreach and development efforts. Recruit and manage program volunteers Schedule and oversee front-line staff Maintain cleanliness and organization in all program areas and common spaces Utilize established systems to track and report on member satisfaction and program trends Collaborate with the Centre Manager to create and monitor the departmental budget, addressing any significant financial discrepancies promptly. Assume leadership responsibilities and act as Duty Manager for the branch staff team Plan and implement child and family events within the facility and the communityQualifications:
Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Physical Education, Recreation Management, Early Childhood Education, or a related discipline At least two years of relevant experience.
