Job Title: Graphic Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our team at Rayacom Print and Packaging BC Ltd. in Vancouver, BC.

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual communications that meet the company's objectives. This includes designing and developing graphics, illustrations, and other visual elements for print and digital media.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop graphics, illustrations, and other visual elements for print and digital media
  • Collaborate with clients to determine the nature and content of visual communications
  • Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
  • Adapt existing illustrations and graphics to meet client needs
  • Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials
  • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials
  • Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
  • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers
  • Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements
  • Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides
  • Copywrite
  • Usability testing
  • Process files and paperwork
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in graphic design
  • College/CEGEP diploma in graphic design or related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
