Job Title: Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for children aged 0-3 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead activities based on the interests and developmental level of the children in our care.
  • Build meaningful and positive relationships with children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to create a supportive and safe environment for both staff and families.
  • Deliver high-quality and age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Provide active supervision at all times and work as a team to support transitions between play areas.
  • Use our parent communication app to provide daily communication and updates.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in all program areas and common spaces.
Qualifications:
  • ECE IT certification from a program recognized in British Columbia.
  • Special Needs Educator (SNE) is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Any training related to child growth and development is an asset.
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required.
