Job Title: Roofing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at M & R ROOFING,SIDING AND RENOVATION LTD. As a Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs, working at heights, and ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on roofing techniques and best practices.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan roofing projects.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to roofs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand roofing projects.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a noisy, dusty, and outdoors environment.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Team player with excellent client focus.
