Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients and dispatch.
  • Driving Duties: Operate both straight and articulated trucks, often as part of a convoy or team.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently handle the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Payment Processing: Manage financial transactions related to the delivery of goods.
  • Inspection Procedures: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch regarding routes and conditions.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Safety Measures: Ensure the security of cargo through proper tarping and handling.
Qualifications
