Role Summary

The Project Manager is a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and results-driven individual with a proven track record in managing and leading capital and maintenance projects. Utilizing a client-focused methodology, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of project objectives from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy, budget adherence, and timely execution through effective collaboration with your team and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead a project team dedicated to successfully delivering projects, overseeing the entire project lifecycle until completion. Direct the team's adherence to project delivery processes and reporting systems to ensure high-quality project management throughout all phases. Manage project timelines and budgets, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain agreed schedules and costs. Provide leadership in daily project activities, ensuring compliance with safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards.
  • Reporting and Contract Management: Prepare necessary project reports to communicate status updates. Oversee the initiation, management, and control of all contracts related to project execution, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance criteria within budget and timeline constraints. Monitor contractor performance to ensure commitments are met in safety, budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Team Leadership and Planning: Assess workload projections and staffing needs for assigned projects based on resource-loaded schedules. Effectively manage resources to meet project demands. Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members, providing guidance and support to resolve issues promptly and align decisions with organizational goals. Foster a collaborative work environment characterized by teamwork, transparency, integrity, and respect.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining budget and schedule integrity.
  • Proven expertise in project management fundamentals, including scheduling, risk management, cost management, and contract management.
  • Ability to operate independently with a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong business acumen in capital project management, planning, and estimating.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a demonstrated capacity to thrive in a highly technical environment.
  • Ability to balance stakeholder interests while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience in contract and claim management for large-scale contracts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Specific knowledge and experience in design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of modifications, along with the necessary interfaces with engineering, procurement, and trades.

Education and Experience

  • A degree from a recognized university is typically required.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and building multi-functional project teams to execute large-scale EPC projects in accordance with established project management guidelines.
