Position Overview:
The Senior Equipment Finance Manager will oversee the assessment of asset values, conduct Equipment Management Studies, and manage portfolio and end-of-term processes. This role will also support collections, customer service, and training initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Equipment Management, the position collaborates closely with the Sales and Credit teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the execution of the business strategy, including goal setting and growth initiatives.
- Achieve or surpass annual sales, revenue, and new customer targets.
- Utilize CARMA Credit, Jira, Ekip, and other relevant software efficiently.
- Guide the equipment finance team in reaching business development goals by proposing structural or pricing alternatives that align with customer needs and TD's risk management policies.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with industry associations, TDEF Asset Management teams, and appraisal organizations to ensure access to necessary data.
- Identify and onboard new appraisers to enhance business operations.
- Conduct Equipment Management Studies to ascertain residual values and fair market assessments while maintaining the TDEF database.
- Adjust lease documents and purchase options as necessary.
- Complete all required compliance training and attestations in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.
- Stay informed about the equipment finance market and relevant industries to provide valuable services while minimizing risk.
- Implement systems to identify and address operational risk issues.
- Deliver exceptional service at every interaction and work on improving customer experience.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of market trends, equipment values, and economic factors.
- Resolve issues for customers and internal partners to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Adapt to changes in the business landscape and create action plans to address customer priorities.
- Mentor team members in crafting effective equipment finance solutions.
- Promote a positive and diverse workplace environment.
- Engage in ongoing personal development and knowledge acquisition.
- Lead team meetings to facilitate efficient transaction processing.
- Build and nurture productive relationships with business partners and industry contacts.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in Asset Management, Equipment Leasing, or Financial Services.
- A university degree or equivalent; 10-15 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of equipment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in advanced Excel skills; detail-oriented and organized. Proficiency in French is an asset.
