Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Assurance & Advisory practice. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

About the Role:

This is a leadership position that requires a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to clients, leading and coordinating project teams, and developing and maintaining relationships with senior client management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver value to clients through the provision of knowledge, ideas, and solutions for improving their business.
  • Ensure engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management.
  • Be a proactive leader of teams, ensuring team members are properly managed and motivated.
  • Ensure staff needs, including training and development, are identified and acted upon.
  • Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions.
  • Develop long-term relationships and networks, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • A Canadian CPA, CA designation.
  • At least 7 years of public accounting experience.
  • A strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  • A proven ability to develop new business.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients as a trusted business advisor.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.
  • Experience with MS Office, CaseWare, and tax return software.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
  • A strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
