We are currently seeking a full-time Site Technician to become a vital part of our construction team.

This role will report directly to the Field Supervisor and collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor to assist with various labor tasks, including lifting, excavation, and maintaining site cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor, which may involve excavation, demolition, transporting supplies, setting up and dismantling workstations and scaffolding, minor carpentry, tool upkeep, and assisting trade contractors.
  • Perform lifting, digging, and moving of equipment and materials as necessary.
  • Possess a basic understanding of hand tools and demonstrate the ability to utilize them effectively.
  • Report any issues, damages, hazardous conditions, or oversights to the Site Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness on job sites, ensuring debris is disposed of properly and completing exterior and interior tidying as instructed.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor with material deliveries, including unloading trucks and organizing materials, while protecting them from weather exposure.
  • Manage snow removal and provide heating to homes under construction during winter months.
  • Ensure safety by marking excavated areas, trenches, and holes.
  • Keep model homes clean and organized.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of general construction safety practices.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Capability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A criminal background check is mandatory.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects regularly (up to 50+ pounds).
  • Valid certifications in CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Arrest, and Lift Equipment are advantageous; training will be provided by the company.

Physical Demand Requirements:

  • VISION: Ability to see near and far, monitoring processes and situations in the work environment.
  • HEARING: Regular verbal communication with colleagues.
  • BODY POSITION: Involves various combinations of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • LIMB COORDINATION: Requires coordination of upper and lower limbs simultaneously.
  • STRENGTH: High strength required for handling loads between 10 and 50 pounds.
  • ENVIRONMENT: Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • HEIGHT: Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
