Role Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable professional to manage and oversee the pension and retirement programs at Farm Credit Canada. This role requires strategic support, effective communication, and educational initiatives for our employees. The successful candidate must be proficient in both English and French, ensuring clear communication in both official languages of Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer the FCC Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans.
  2. Design and execute educational strategies and programs regarding retirement benefits for employees.
  3. Conduct research on best practices in retirement savings and financial wellness.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for executive benefit inquiries, managing the executive perquisite plan.
  5. Lead the corporate employee relocation initiative.
  6. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to address policy exceptions and resolve complex issues.
  7. Support the implementation of strategies for benefits, pension, and health and wellness programs.
  8. Assist the Director of Total Rewards in crafting strategies, reports, and presentations, providing valuable insights on benefits and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:
  1. Strong communicator with exceptional presentation abilities.
  2. Proactive project manager capable of adapting to change and resolving issues effectively.
  3. Analytical thinker with the ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
  4. Collaborative team player who can build and maintain relationships with senior leadership.
  5. Experienced mentor who can guide others in policy interpretation.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in administration or Human Resources Management, along with a minimum of four years of experience in benefits; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Professional designations such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Pension Plan Administrator Certificate (PPAC) are advantageous.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of pension and savings programs, as well as employee benefits, including relevant regulations and legislation.
