Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Division Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for performing accounting activities, analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. You will also assist in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial data, and provide support to the Area Controller in managing accounting personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
  • Assist in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial data, including compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes Oxley, and other statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data, and fully analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
  • Support the Area Controller in the management of accounting personnel, and provide direction to different accounting functional areas.
  • Assist in the management of accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements.
  • Support the accounting aspects of periodic financial audits, including internal audits, external audits, and peer reviews.
Requirements
  • Accounting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
  • Intermediate-level MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and research non-standard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Effective and professional interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and efficiently within a team environment.
  • Experience with general ledger software and other programs consistently used in the industry.
  • Experience with Lawson accounting software and other programs consistently used in the industry.
