Job Opportunity
Canada Post is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional service to our customers, sell postal products and services, and ensure the efficient processing and delivery of mail and parcels.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
- Sort, distribute, and process mail and parcels
- Provide customers with information and forms
- Address delivery and service issues to resolve problems quickly and effectively
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physical ability to lift mail containers, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work temporary, on-call shifts
Additional Requirements
- Reside in the community or within a 50 km radius of the Post Office
- Pass a security screening process
