We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapy Worker to join our interdisciplinary team at Polson Place in Vernon, BC. As a Recreation Therapy Worker, you will be responsible for developing and leading a wide range of activities, including arts, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises, to cater to the unique needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead activities that promote physical, social, cognitive, spiritual, and emotional well-being
  • Organize and prepare for programs and special events, including setup and cleanup
  • Teach activity techniques and oversee resident participation
  • Coordinate outings and ensure residents have necessary clothing and funds
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and supervisors to adapt programs to meet resident needs
