About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Wee Ones Childcare Academy. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Lead activities that foster a love for reading, storytelling, and creative expression in children.
  • Support and Guidance: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs, providing guidance and support to children as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Environment and Safety: Help create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and a passion for working with children.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Childcare centre.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
