Job Summary

The BC Public Service Agency is seeking a highly skilled Senior Caribou Recovery Biologist to join our team. As a key member of the Caribou Recovery Program, you will provide leadership and expertise in caribou ecology, working closely with partners, First Nations, and interest groups to drive caribou recovery efforts.

The Role

As a Senior Caribou Recovery Biologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise in caribou ecology and habitat conservation
  • Collaborating with partners and stakeholders to develop and implement caribou recovery strategies
  • Leading and managing projects related to caribou conservation and recovery
  • Providing subject matter advice and recommendations to senior decision-makers
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in biological sciences or a related field
  • A minimum of three years of combined related experience, or a Master's degree with one year of experience
  • Registration as a Professional Biologist (RPBio) with the BC College of Applied Biologists (CAB)
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence or equivalent
