Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Manager to oversee security operations in support of our client within a Healthcare Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate implementation strategies to support the program, including training and mentoring security staff.
- Evaluate the capacity of Paladin employees and client staff to respond effectively to security and fire safety emergencies.
- Work closely with our client and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage the security team within assigned portfolio, overseeing selection, scheduling, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Develop and implement security plans and elevated risk department evaluations.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for security and safety improvements.
- Ensure site-based contractual obligations are fulfilled, including staffing requirements and monthly inspections.
- Promote awareness of security and fire safety to Health Authority staff through informational and educational programs.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor or manager in the security industry.
- Valid BC Driver's License and a vehicle for travel to work sites.
- Post-secondary education in security management, criminology, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
- Active membership or willingness to join the International Association of Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS).
- Must hold, or be willing to work towards obtaining their Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) designation.
