Insurance Business Development Specialist

At Western Coast Insurance Services, we're committed to delivering exceptional insurance solutions to our customers. As an Account Executive, you'll play a key role in managing a book of business and ensuring our customers have the coverage they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new and existing customers by offering recommendations for products and services required
- Promote retention of existing customers by building strong relationships and providing quality customer service
- Navigate multiple insurance partner online portals to complete customer applications
- Quote new business through outbound calls and walk-in clients
- Communicate with insurance company Underwriters to ensure evolving guidelines are met
- Prospect and up-sell to clients on all lines of business sold
- Liaise between client and external insurance partners to ensure fair and proper representation for both parties
- Continuous self-development, through industry and community involvement, and industry-related courses
The Value You Bring
- General Insurance Level 2 is an asset
- Experience with ICBC fleet/garage is an asset
- Experience with commercial lines insurance
- Must be able to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through email
- Experience managing a book of business or relatable work experience
- A desire to learn new systems and processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different work environments
- Passionate about helping people, self-driven, and determined to succeed
