Job Title: Makeup Artist

We are seeking a skilled Makeup Artist to join our team at Orchid 11 Day Spa and Laser Centre Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying cosmetic and special effects makeup to performers, as well as overseeing the acquisition, fitting, and maintenance of costumes and wardrobes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff and ensure the smooth operation of makeup and costume departments
  • Set up, operate, and make repairs to light and other electrical equipment
  • Schedule and oversee rehearsals to ensure timely completion of makeup and costume preparations
  • Co-ordinate the work of camera operators and other technical staff to achieve high-quality visual effects
  • Audition and cast performers for roles, working closely with directors and producers to ensure the best fit for each production
  • Apply cosmetic and special effects makeup to performers, using a range of techniques and materials to achieve the desired look
  • Assist in preparing the construction specifications for sets, working closely with designers and builders to ensure accurate and timely completion
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the makeup and costume industry
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
