Role OverviewAs a Software Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining the scope and direction of our technical projects. You will address exciting challenges, oversee the software development lifecycle, and ensure smooth execution. Your leadership will inspire innovation, encourage teamwork, and yield impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and grow a team of 8-10 software engineers.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate across departments to define and achieve the team's strategic objectives.
- Provide technical direction and make critical decisions to meet project deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience with a team of at least 15 software engineers.
- Demonstrated experience managing software engineering teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Background in healthcare or life sciences, particularly with HL7 FHIR.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
