About the RoleAs a Sr. Sales Forecasting Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business success by developing and maintaining item-level forecasts that align with consumer demand, sales strategies, and market trends. Your insights will shape the customer shipment plan and drive success across the board.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Forecasting Efforts: Develop and maintain item-level forecasts that align with consumer demand, sales strategies, and market trends.
- Support Sales & Customer Teams: Collaborate closely with both internal Sales teams and external Customer Planning and Replenishment teams to ensure optimal product availability, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze sales and promotional data to generate accurate monthly flow patterns, considering seasonality, promotions, distribution points, and market trends.
- Forecast Accuracy: Improve forecast accuracy by identifying key trends, minimizing variance, and ensuring a balanced inventory to prevent missed sales opportunities.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Participate in internal S&OP meetings, and maintain proactive communication with leadership on risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.
- Global Impact: Contribute to global forecasting transformation initiatives, driving improvements and innovation across the organization.
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Sales Forecasting Analyst who possesses:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, planning, or sales analytics, with a strong track record of increasing responsibility. Experience working with Walmart is highly recommended.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Anaplan, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP, Tableau, or Cognos, and familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, apply critical thinking, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Communication Pro: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Proactive & Positive Attitude: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering results.
- Willingness to Travel: Open to travel as required to collaborate with customers and regional teams.
- Growth-Oriented: Demonstrated curiosity and a growth mindset, constantly seeking to learn and improve.
