About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Team Member to join our team at BAO SANDWICH BAR. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Special Orders: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Bakery Operations: Bake mixed dough and batters, supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on new recipes and techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
