Job Summary

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality and visual appearance of our bakery department. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and zoning the bakery area, assisting with stocking and the sale of goods, and adhering to our company's standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food safety, and handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  • Maintain and zone the bakery area to ensure a safe and clean environment for customers and associates.
  • Assist with stocking and the sale of goods, including ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and preparing bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines.
  • Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food safety, and handling procedures, including temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and preparing bakery merchandise.
