Job Title: French Language Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French language educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

Job Summary:

The French Language Educator will be responsible for teaching French language skills to students in a small group setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spoken and written French and English, and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach French language skills to students in a small group setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Working Conditions:

The French Language Educator will work in a small group setting with students of varying skill levels. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
