Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Aliaxis. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing our inventory levels and ensuring that our manufacturing facilities have the necessary materials to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement replenishment programs for Bill Of Material (BOM) items, focusing on automation and process optimization.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels for our manufacturing sites, utilizing inventory management best practices.
  • Initiate and implement inventory management initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Scheduling, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales, to ensure Supply Chain activities are aligned to support the business.
  • Monitor and analyze weekly/monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data in our ERP system, as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Release purchase orders after validation of MRP recommendations, considering budget and demand forecast.
  • Monitor Requisitioning Systems, analyze and validate requirements, and create purchase orders for Direct Items.
  • Manage and monitor KANBAN/Min-Max to ensure inventory levels are optimized for efficient site operations.
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing on sourcing activities and contract implementation, as well as ongoing contract management and vendor management activities.
  • Monitor and support on-time delivery of issued Purchase Orders through open order management tools and resources.
  • Manage and monitor product complaints and resolution through Quality SCAR process.
  • Support the new product implementation process utilizing a Stage Gate process, led by Innovation.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain purchasing/inventory management reports.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Purchasing, or related business experience (Indirect or Direct purchasing in a manufacturing environment).
  • Well-developed supply chain experience with strengths in vendor management and strategic vision.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in PowerBI would be a strong asset.
