Salary Range: $26.63/hr to $31.82/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, dispense, and manage the inventory of tools, equipment, supplies, textbooks, and service manuals.
  • Guide and assist pre-employment and apprenticeship students in identifying tools, parts, supplies, and in ordering procedures.
  • Coordinate and initiate procurement processes for supplies, parts, and capital equipment following established procedures.
  • Manage the replacement and/or repair of damaged or malfunctioning tools, equipment, and training vehicles.
  • Administer Automotive Service Technician (AST) resale accounts by managing work orders and ordering and receiving parts and supplies.
  • Receive and verify all supply and parts orders against invoices and requisitions for accuracy.
  • Reconcile financial statements for AST program and resale accounts.
  • Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems for the AST program.
  • Ensure the Stores' area is maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Support the Program Head and Instructors with administrative tasks related to AST, apprenticeship training, and contract training to foster a positive learning environment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Completion of Grade 12 and a one-year trade certification for storekeepers or partspersons, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving processes, operations, and inventory management.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial management principles.
  • Experience with database management, spreadsheets, word processing, email, and internet applications.
  • Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment, as well as procurement processes for automotive parts and services.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in stockroom or stores operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Capability to handle heavy or awkward objects regularly.
