In this role, you will engage in the fabrication, assembly, installation, calibration, maintenance, and evaluation of cutting-edge automotive components and testing apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed oral or written instructions, blueprints, or sketches to complete tasks.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of experimental automotive systems.
  • Utilize your expertise in front-end alignments, transmission, and engine assembly/disassembly.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid 310S - Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in automotive service.
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Card and Class 'G' Driver's license.
  • Ownership of necessary tools for the role.
  • Ability to perform shift work and lift up to 50lbs, including overhead tasks.
  • Experience with Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
  • Proficiency in operating mills, lathes, and welding equipment.
  • Strong skills in reading blueprints.
  • Compliance with Canadian Immigration requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Effective communication skills and a readiness to tackle diverse assignments.
