Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Jacobson Ford Sales Ltd. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional vehicle maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty parts and components to ensure vehicles are safe and running efficiently.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to prevent mechanical issues and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Verify that repaired systems meet manufacturer specifications and adjust as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Accurately estimate costs for repairs and maintenance to provide transparent and competitive pricing to customers.
  • Coach and Instruct Apprentices: Share knowledge and expertise with junior technicians to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid certification in automotive service technology.
  • Red Seal Certificate: Hold a Red Seal certificate in automotive service technology.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence and be willing to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: Wear steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
