Job Title: Co-op Student in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

BD Diesel Performance is a leading manufacturer of innovative products for diesel and gasoline powered pickup trucks. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Co-op Student in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering to assist our team in the design, development, and testing of new products. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including product design, manufacturing process improvement, and quality control.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and development of new products, including mechanical and manufacturing aspects
  • Conduct research and analysis to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical reports and process manuals
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure product quality and compliance
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Solidworks and drafting standards
  • High proficiency with technical report writing (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of a valid student ID and proof of enrollment in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passion for cars/trucks and an interest in the automotive aftermarket
  • Knowledge of automotive technologies, including automotive powertrain systems
