About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our team at Western Heritage Services Inc. as a key member of our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within our organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Database Design: Develop and implement a strategic blueprint for deploying databases within our organization.
  • Database Maintenance: Develop and maintain computer databases, ensuring they are secure and efficient.
  • Documentation: Document customers' requirements for projects and ensure that all data is accurately recorded.
  • Security: Enact measures to prevent unauthorized access to our data and ensure the integrity of our systems.
  • Collaboration: Provide advice and guidance to other informatics professionals on database management tools and best practices.
  • Testing: Test data models and database management systems to ensure they meet our organization's standards.
  • Database Development: Design and develop databases to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Data Analysis: Operate database management systems to analyze data and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Data Administration: Develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models to ensure data is accurately recorded and securely stored.
  • Research: Research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy, as well as data access rules.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerBuilder, Servers, MySQL, Oracle, and database software.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Benefits: Free parking available, permanent work term, and 40 hours per week.
