About the Role
In the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, you will take on the role of Senior Business Partner, Finance. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver strategic and operational financial advisory services. You will act as a vital business partner, establishing effective financial processes and providing insights that inform financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong business-partnering relationship, understanding both financial and operational dimensions to provide proactive analysis and guidance.
- Serve as the primary contact for finance-related inquiries, assisting clients in navigating financial requirements.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance productivity and value.
- Collaborate in the creation and monitoring of performance indicators to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize client performance based on key metrics.
- Advise internal clients on business initiatives, financial planning, and risk management aligned with CMHC's strategy.
- Conduct thorough analyses to evaluate business cases and ensure alignment with CMHC's objectives.
Qualifications:
- A degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in finance-related roles.
- Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master of Business Administration or relevant professional designations (CPA, CFA).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Green Belt certification.
