Job Title: Afternoon Local Dispatcher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Afternoon Local Dispatcher to join our team at The Erb Group of Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of freight across our network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely and efficient movement of freight.
- Coordinate with drivers, operations managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and execution of tasks.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of freight movements, including tracking and tracing.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify and resolve any issues or concerns related to freight movement.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a dispatch or transportation coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
