About the Position:
The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Public Policy in a Polarized Era. This is a unique opportunity for a scholar to lead cutting-edge research in public policy and governance, addressing the complex challenges of political polarization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research in public policy and governance, focusing on the impact of polarization on evidence-informed policy-making.
- Develop and teach graduate courses on policy and polarization, as well as supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Establish partnerships with USask researchers and international scholars to advance evidence-informed policy tools and practices.
- Engage with policymakers, government agencies, and community organizations to promote the application of research findings.
- Contribute to the development of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy's research agenda and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with a doctoral degree in political science, public administration, economics, or a related social science discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong research track record, excellent teaching skills, and a proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
