About the Role
Spark Power Corp is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Renewable Energy Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites to perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar, wind, and battery storage systems
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance and production
- Energize and de-energize electrical systems as required
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) plans and procedures
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and resolve issues
- Perform quality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions
- Follow OEM-specific maintenance requirements and company standards
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals
- Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule
- Identify and provide feedback on issues and ongoing development of projects
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of electrical experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset
- ABET/EAC certification will be considered an asset
- 309A Journeyman license is an asset
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Valid Driver's License with a suitable driving record
- Ability to lift 34kg (75lb)
- Able to determine color codes
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
- Computer and digital literacy
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Customer-focused attitude with an ability to represent Spark Power Corp positively and professionally
- Ability to travel within the designated territory
- Ability to work overtime and/or on-call rotation at times
