About the Role

Spark Power Corp is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Renewable Energy Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to job sites to perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar, wind, and battery storage systems
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance and production
  • Energize and de-energize electrical systems as required
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) plans and procedures
  • Interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform quality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions
  • Follow OEM-specific maintenance requirements and company standards
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals
  • Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule
  • Identify and provide feedback on issues and ongoing development of projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of electrical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset
  • ABET/EAC certification will be considered an asset
  • 309A Journeyman license is an asset
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Valid Driver's License with a suitable driving record
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Computer and digital literacy
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to travel within the designated territory
  • Ability to work overtime and/or on-call rotation at times
