We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Safety Management System (SMS) program across our global service centers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust SMS program that ensures the highest level of safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement SMS Program: Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive SMS program that meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and other international CAA SMS related regulations and international standards (SM-0001).
- Manage SMS Deployment: Assess the effectiveness of SMS deployment across our service centers and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to facilitate problem-solving work sessions and drive project success.
- Develop and Maintain Safety Register: Maintain a safety register for our service centers and facilitate mitigation/corrective actions.
- Coach and Develop Site Safety Coordinators: Manage, coordinate, and coach site safety coordinators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Participate in Industry Organizations: Participate in consultative organizations and groups in the industry to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
- Minimum 4-7 Years of Experience: Typically a minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, including in the Maintenance environment.
- Relevant Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and other international CAA SMS related regulations and international standards (SM-0001).
- Project Management Skills: Experience with project management principles and tools.
- Risk Management Skills: Experience with risk management principles and tools.
- Leadership Skills: Possess leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Computer Skills: Skilled at operating Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc) as well as e-mail and other software and web-based applications.
- Previous Experience in Project Management: Previous experience in project management, aviation regulations.
