Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematologist in Medical Oncology to join our team at Alberta Health Services. The successful candidate will have expertise in the management of lymphoma and myeloma, and will be responsible for providing malignant hematology services to patients in the Northwest Territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in ambulatory clinics for patients with lymphoproliferative disorders
  • Attend to inpatient lymphoma/myeloma/autologous stem cell transplant unit duties
  • Contribute to local and provincial tumour team-based activities, including clinical case reviews and quality assurance initiatives
  • Lead the myeloma program and commit 30% of time to clinical research and teaching activities
Requirements
  • MD degree and certification in Internal Medicine
  • Special competency in Medical Oncology/Hematology
  • Additional specialized training and experience in Malignant Hematology
  • Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional specialized training in malignant lymphoid disease
  • Training and experience with cell therapy (BMT and CarT)
  • Familiarity with early drug development/phase 1
