Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematologist in Medical Oncology to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary cancer programs, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with lymphoproliferative disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in ambulatory clinics for patients with lymphoproliferative disorders
  • Attend to inpatient duties on the lymphoma/myeloma/autologous stem cell transplant unit
  • Contribute to local and provincial tumour team based activities, including clinical case reviews and quality assurance initiatives
  • Lead the myeloma program and commit 30% of time to clinical research and teaching activities
Requirements
  • MD degree and certification in Internal Medicine
  • Special competency in Medical Oncology/Hematology
  • Additional specialized training and experience in Malignant Hematology
  • Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional specialized training in malignant lymphoid disease
  • Training and experience with cell therapy (BMT and CarT)
  • Familiarity with early drug development/phase 1
