Position Overview:

Role of the Registered Nurse:

This position is classified as a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY, meaning that hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate, with shifts potentially assigned on short notice. Casual staff members are encouraged to apply for internal job openings, including both permanent and temporary roles. Numerous pathways exist within Interior Health that commence with casual employment and transition into regular positions.

Work shifts will be scheduled for both daytime and nighttime hours, rotating between 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.

The hourly wage for this role is set to range from $32.84 to $41.35.

About the Department:

The emergency department is equipped with 14 beds, which include general treatment areas, six monitored beds, two trauma bays, a negative pressure room, and a secure room.

This department handles approximately 26,000 patient visits annually and is outfitted with advanced technology, including a new Space Labs Cardiac Monitoring System and a Procedural Cart System.

This innovative system is designed to ensure that all treatment areas are versatile, bringing necessary services directly to the patient.
