Bakery Team Member Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Wow Convenience Store. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and cakes.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Train and supervise bakery staff to ensure high-quality products and efficient operations.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that all products meet established standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods to drive revenue growth.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
