Custodian Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill a custodian position at the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board. As a custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in schools, including emptying trash, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with event setup and teardown, including arranging furniture and equipment.
- Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a custodial or maintenance role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Working Conditions: This is a casual position, with evening shifts and seasonal day shifts available. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be exposed to dust, chemicals, and other cleaning agents.
