Job Summary:

The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking a qualified Long Term Occasional Teacher to fill a position in Education and Community Partnership Programs. This is a 0.2 FTE opportunity that requires a teacher with experience in Special Education Part 1, Primary, and Junior levels, with Kindergarten being an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students in a Long Term Occasional position, providing instruction and support in Education and Community Partnership Programs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive school community

Requirements:

  • Special Education Part 1 certification
  • Primary and Junior level teaching experience
  • Kindergarten experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Schedule:

This is a one-day-per-week position, typically on Fridays, but subject to change.
