Viking Ventures Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of our projects.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring the ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to travel to various locations, including construction sites and millwork/pre-fab shops.

• 5 years or more of experience in the construction industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
• Valid driver's license and own transportation
