Psychologist - Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Trillium Health Partners is seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team in the Third Party Mental Health Service Program. As a Mental Health Professional, you will play a key role in assessing and treating individuals with mental health impairments, with a focus on returning them to function and reducing impairment and disability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in independent and inter-professional assessments to formulate diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and return to work recommendations
- Provide clinical reports that assist with case management
- Collaborate with external groups, including insurers and employers
- Provide 1:1 treatment when required
- Provide supervision where appropriate
- Assessment, treatment, and team consultation can be provided virtually
Requirements:
- Doctoral or Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited APA or CPA program
- Completion of APPI, CPA, or CCPPP accredited internship/residency program
- Registration with College of Psychologists of Ontario
- Competency in clinical (required) and rehabilitation (preferred) scopes of practice
- Experience working with First Responders
- Competency in the area of Clinical Psychology with no restrictions on license to practice
- At least two years' experience conducting assessments of individuals with a variety of mental health impairments; preferred
- Experience in assessment and treatment within a third-party payor system
- Experience assessing and treating a variety of conditions and providing interventions that include CPT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based modalities
- Membership in OPA or CPA preferred
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work effectively within a cohesive inter-professional team environment
