Your Responsibilities:

The Youth Intensive Case Management Team is an interdisciplinary group dedicated to delivering case management services aligned with the standards for high-risk youth facing issues related to substance use, concurrent disorders, and/or mental health challenges. Prior experience in direct engagement with youth and community mental health and substance use is essential.

The Community Mental Health Worker 2 operates as a member of the broader Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team, contributing to a specialized Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multidisciplinary team. This role aims to ensure that individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health issues and/or substance use disorders receive timely, responsive, and evidence-based psychosocial rehabilitation throughout the available service continuum.

Work Schedule:

Work shifts are during the day, typically from 09:00 to 17:00 hours. There will likely be 2-4 shifts available each week. This is a casual position, meaning there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary weekly. Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  1. Completion of Grade 12
  2. Diploma in a relevant field
  3. Two years of recent related experience working with the designated client population experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  4. Current valid B.C. Driver's License
