Job Title: Lead Python Developer

About the Role:

Highbrow LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Python Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Python-based solutions and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions.
  2. Code Development: Develop and maintain high-quality Python code, ensuring that it is efficient, scalable, and reliable.
  3. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Manage and work with CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of our Python-based solutions.
  4. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Debug complex systems and troubleshoot issues that arise during development and deployment.
  5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests to ensure that our Python-based solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  6. Documentation and Communication: Write detailed and clear documentation and communicate effectively with the development team and other stakeholders.
  7. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and project managers to develop user stories, estimates, and work plans.
  8. Technology Advancement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Python technologies and advancements, and recommend new technologies and approaches to the development team.

Requirements:

  1. 7+ years of Python development experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience developing platform orchestration code with CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
  3. Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle and working in an Agile Scrum team.
  4. Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  5. Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
  6. Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across from development to production.
  7. Experience working with orchestration and configuration management systems such as Saltstack, Ansible, or Puppet.
  8. Experience writing scripts to automate operational tasks (e.g., Shell, Ansible, Python).
  9. Experience with automating (provisioning, configuration management, deployment) and integrating Google Data PaaS solutions and Containers (GKE).
  10. Understanding of product features for DR/BCP options and how they fit into the overall application architecture.
  11. Understanding of security features in Google Cloud.
  12. Basic knowledge of cloud automation using native Google CLI.
  13. Must be a self-starter, demonstrated ability to take independent action to achieve results.
  14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels within the team.
