Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team at a leading financial institution in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting a Regulatory Transaction Reporting controls application across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes for OTC Derivatives, FX, and Securities products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Python code for the Regulatory Transaction Reporting controls application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure robust testing and validation of the application.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance on implementation.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, specifically in Python.
  • Strong experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
  • Excellent knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Unittest) and test automation.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with API design and development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with regulatory transaction reporting (e.g., CFTC, EMIR, MiFID II).
  • Knowledge of distributed message systems and design/development experience.
