Exciting Opportunity for Intermediate Mechanical Designer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. As a key member of our Mechanical Department, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced mechanical designer to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and detailing mechanical equipment and systems for various projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets client requirements
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and specifications
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior designers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanical designer, preferably in mining and mechanical detailing
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or AVEVA E3D software
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D design and drafting
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
