Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Systems, the Senior Business Analyst - Finance will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a deep understanding of retail business operations.

The Senior Business Analyst acts as a vital intermediary between Finance Business Partners and IT stakeholders, facilitating the execution of projects, enhancements, and production support for our ERP system, utilizing expertise in SAP Functional Consulting.

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for documenting, developing, and supporting the implementation of solutions and processes tailored to meet specific business requirements. This role encompasses managing all facets of assigned projects and support requests throughout the various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Evaluating existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement, including recognizing overlapping functions and interdepartmental dependencies.
  • Assisting in the development of business cases and conducting cost-benefit analyses to support proposed solutions.
  • Designing and documenting business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
  • Facilitating meetings, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to elicit requirements and gather feedback.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and ensure successful project delivery while keeping all stakeholders and team members engaged and informed.
  • Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and providing training and support to end-users.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Partnering effectively with business partners and demonstrating the ability to influence recommended solutions persuasively.
  • Providing ongoing support, training sessions, and overviews to the user community.
  • Supporting business stakeholders by understanding current state business processes and optimizing the use of their respective software solutions.
  • Managing the intake, prioritization, and communication with stakeholders regarding new business requirements.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the business.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in the fintech sector, preferably in a SAP Finance Functional Consultant role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all SAP ERP finance modules (SAP ECC, SAP CAR), including GL - General Ledger, AP - Accounts Payable, AR - Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Vendor Payment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering) or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive business analysis experience in retail technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of integrations and application infrastructure.
  • A proven track record of delivery in a managed services environment, collaborating with various third-party solution vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate solutions in clear business language.
  • Experience in translating business and technical requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and positively influence all stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio and core Microsoft products.
  • Proficiency in utilizing SQL statements to query and export data to support various analyses and troubleshooting is an asset.
  • Ensuring compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cybersecurity measures.
