About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team at Shearer Licensed Interior Design Inc. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Analyze technical documents and reports to inform design decisions.
  • Tender contracts and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Assist in supervising construction projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Supervise architectural technical staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Write specifications for construction materials and equipment.
  • Monitor and inspect work in progress to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects.
  • Construct architectural and display models to communicate design ideas.
  • Assist in design development and provide input on design concepts.
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings to communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • CADD Course or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Experience in architecture, design, and construction.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
